Parts of Speech

In passive voice the object of the active sentence becomes the subject. Keep the tense of the original verb and use the correct form of "be" with the past participle.

The present perfect tense connects the past with the present. Use it for actions that happened at an unspecified time or that still affect the present: "I have finished the chapter."

Admission tests often check subject-verb agreement in tricky sentences. "Each of the students has a book" is correct because "each" is singular.
